
Whitworth University Archives - Digital Collections

Dr. Warren became the president of Whitworth College in 1940, a posiition he held until his death on December 10, 1963. He was dedicated to building of Whitworth into a sound and thriving institution and succeeded in getting it recognized nationally as a major denominational institution of higher learning.
The Whitworthian student newspaper began publication in 1905. This digitial collection contains large, text-searchable PDFs of all student newspapers through 2010.
Natsihi ("among the pines"), Whitworth’s yearbook, has been documenting the education of students and the development of the college since 1914. The yearbooks were digitized into PDF format, and Adobe Reader must be installed in order to browse the collection.

The mission of the Whitworth Archives is to actively collect, process and preserve all records and materials pertaining to the history of Whitworth University. The archives will also collect and house materials related to the history of Protestantism in the Pacific Northwest, in order to support the programs and purposes of the university’s Weyerhaeuser Center for Faith & Learning. As an extension of its mission, the archives will make its materials available to researchers, and provide guidance in conducting research.
